If you wish to transfer a domain name from one domain registrar to another, you will need a special authorization code, which may be referred to by multiple names – an EPP authentication code, an Auth code, a domain name password, etc. All these names designate one and the same thing – a code that the domain registrant receives from the present domain registrar and gives to the new one upon ordering. Without a valid code, a transfer process cannot be initiated and this is one of the protection mechanisms against unauthorized transfer attempts used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For even greater security, the code includes digits and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so if you would like to transfer one of your domains, you have to present the new registrar with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting

If you’ve got a Linux shared hosting packages, you’ve registered a domain through us and you’d like to transfer it away, you can get its EPP transfer code with no more than a few clicks. When you log in to your Hepsia Control Panel and navigate to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see all the domains that you have registered with us listed alphabetically. On the right-hand side of each domain name, you will notice a mini EPP icon for all domain extensions that need an EPP code in order to be transferred between companies. Clicking on the icon will email the EPP code to the domain owner’s email address instantly. In the same section you can also find and ultimately change the email address, if the one there isn’t valid any longer.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you wish to transfer any domain name that’s registered under a semi-dedicated server account to another domain registrar, you can obtain its EPP transfer authorization code with a couple of clicks from the Hepsia Control Panel. All registered domain names will be displayed in a different section. Quick-access controls will permit you to use different features. To obtain the EPP transfer code, you simply need to click the EPP symbol, which will be on the right-hand side of any domain name whose extension supports transfers with a transfer authorization code. Our system will send the code to the domain name registrant’s email address, which is presently listed in the domain’s WHOIS record. If you want, you can change this email address from the very same section of the Control Panel before requesting the EPP transfer authorization code. The update will propagate immediately, so you will not need to wait for the new email address to appear on WHOIS lookup web sites.
