A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to inactive addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox with ease in case you’ve got a shared hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet incredibly intuitive, and it will allow you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with just several clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have created will be listed alphabetically in this section and next to each one you will see a small "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking it once will activate the feature, clicking on it once more will deactivate it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have another one with this option enabled or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be activated easily in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will see a small-size sign handily located right next to each one of them. With only one mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the menu that will come into view. In case any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will inform you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
